VALLEY — Mrs. Gladys V. Hutchinson Allen of Valley died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 9 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Family Life Center in Lanett with the Revs. Louis Upshaw, pastor, and Tyrice Holt, pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Valley, officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Valley.

WEST POINT — Mr. Charlie Will “Hook” Philpot, 80, of West Point died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Lanier Health Services in Valley.

Graveside services are planned for Saturday, June 9 at 1 p.m. at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point with the Rev. Adrian Frazier, Deacon Thomas Howell and Brother Michael Howell officiating.
