Runnin’ Rams 3-1 after 66-47 rout of Russell Co.

VALLEY — The Valley High Runnin’ Rams (3-1) used a balanced scoring attack with three players in double figures as coach Marshon Harper’s team posted a big 66-47 win over visiting Russell Co. here Monday evening. The 3-1 start is Valley’s best in the last several years as the team continues to play outstanding on both ends of the court.
Kevontae Cooper led the Rams with 14 points, Davontrez Daniel added 13 and Keionte tallied 11. Other scorers include Markevious Booker with nine points, Tracy Winston Jr. and Keauntea Holloway both scored six points, Quez Trammell had five and Jaevin Tucker added two.
•In the girls game, the Lady Rams (1-3) fell to the Russell Co. Lady Warriors 58-55 in overtime. Ana Magby led the Lady Rams with 18 points, Arteria Florence tallied 16, Kenjadae Dunn tallied 10, Emerald Floyd scored six while Kwane Cofield and La’teazia Stringer each had two.
