Lanett reports
LANETT — The Lanett Police Department reported 19 arrests over the Labor Day weekend. According to LPD reports.
› Marcus Mayfield, 45, of Lanett has been charged with harassment and menacing;
› Keitavious Heard, 29, of Lanett has been charged with two counts of failure to appear in court on traffic-related charges;
› Venton Lovelace, 54, of West Point, Ga. has been charged with public intoxication;
› Kristyn McCarley, 39, of Guntersville, Ala. has been charged with possession of a forged instrument, third degree;
› Billy Dunn, 30, of Lanett has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling or vehicle;
› Donna Watkins, 35, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
› Montavious Stevenson, 26, of West Point has been charged with driving under the influence;
› Francisco Flores, 29, of Lanett has been charged with public intoxication;
› Sherrie Williams, 42, of LaFayette has been charged with two counts of bail jumping;
› Jamie Smith, 39, of Five Points, Ala. has been charged with attempting to elude a police officer;
› Jamarcus Cager, 21, of Lanett has been charged with domestic violence, third degree;
› Daphyne Heard, 29, of Roanoke, Ala. has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
› James Sprayberry, 44, of Douglasville, Ga. has been charged with using a false identity to obstruct justice;
› Tiunda Murphy, 43, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
› Brittany Johnson, 29, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
› Tamarkco Hall, 46, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
› Jessica James, 24, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;
› Tiara Woodyard, 30, of West Point has been charged with giving false information to a law enforcement officer, and
› Terrence Jeffery, 43, of Lanett has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and domestic violence, third degree.
In incidents that are being investigated by Lanett officers, rape, second degree, was reported on the 5200 block of 52nd Court SW, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 800 block of South 12th Street, theft of property, first degree, was reported on the 1400 block of South 8th Avenue, attempting to elude a police officer was reported on the 600 block of North 14th Avenue, harassment was reported at 107 Valley Plaza, domestic violence, third degree, was reported on the 600 block of North 14th Court, possession of a forged instrument was reported on the 1300 block of South Gilmer Avenue, harassment was reported at 1401 South Gilmer Avenue, domestic violence, was reported in the 1800 block of 18th Street SW, theft of property, fourth degree, was reported on the 1900 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway, criminal trespassing, first degree, was reported on the 100 block of East 19th Street, criminal mischief, second degree, was reported on the 100 block of South 21st Street, and attempting to elude a police officer was reported on the 2700 block of South Phillips Road.
Sheriff’s office reports
LaFAYETTE — The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reported five arrests over the Labor Day weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,
› Tiunda Dvon Murphy, 43, of Valley has been charged with failure to pay on a charge of driving under the influence;
› James Kason Shaver, 20, of LaFayette has been charged with burglary, third degree, theft of property, first degree, and FTA – possession of drug paraphernalia;
› Keitavious Q. Heard, 29, of Lanett has been charged with failure to pay child support;
› Marcus Mayfield, 45, of Lanett has been charged with two counts FTA – child support, and
› Andor D. Gross, 45, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.
There were 161 inmates in the Chambers County jail Monday morning.
Valley reports
VALLEY — One person was arrested in Valley over the weekend. According to Valley Police Department reports,
› Jessica Denise James, 24, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.
In an incident that’s being investigated by Valley officers, criminal mischief was reported on the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
West Point reports
WEST POINT — Two people were arrested in West Point over the weekend. According to West Point Police Department reports,
› Brashun Scott of West Point has been charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute, and
› Jaquavius Malik Carter of West Point has been charged with simple assault – Family Violence Act.
In an incident being investigated by West Point officers, criminal trespassing was reported on East 9th Street.
