Valley teen injured in Beulah wreck

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Beulah early Monday night involving a teenager from the Greater Valley Area.
Case Robert Hoiness, 19, of Valley was injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital with several injuries, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
According to the press release, the incident happened at approximately 8:34 p.m. The release describes troopers responding to a reported two-vehicle crash on Lee Road 374. A vehicle had left the scene and troopers encountered one that matched the description in the surrounding area.
When troopers tried to make contact with the driver, the release said, the driver fled and law enforcement lost sight of the vehicle. Moments later, approximately 2.5 miles away on Lee Road 270, the driver of a 2011 Toyota Tacoma crashed his vehicle.
The incident is still under investigation.
