Mr. Steven Craig Thompson

WEST POINT — Mr. Steven Craig Thompson, Sr. 61, of West Point, Ga. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was born on Sept, 11, 1957 in Louisville, Ky.
Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from ALCAN Aluminum Corporation in 2008. He was currently employed with Kimble’s Food by Design in LaGrange, Ga.
Steve was hard working and devoted family man. His pride and joy was his family. He loved working with youth and taught Children’s Sunday School for many years. He had a passion for music and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Motley of Louisville, Ky.; his wife of 38 years, Dodie Thompson; children Whitney Burkett, Craig Thompson, James (Cindy) Thompson, Aynsley Thompson, Carly (Kirk) Fuller, Michael (Mallory) Thompson, Jenny (Noah) Johnson, and Penny Thompson; seven grandchildren, Reagan, Reese, Ryan Burkett, Larayne Thompson, Hayden Thrift, Trenton Waldroup, and Isla Thompson with two more on the way.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
