VALLEY — Mrs. Dorothy “Lannie” Horne Sledge, 63, of Valley passed away on Monday, Jan, 28, 2019 to her Heavenly home surrounded by family and loved ones at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Mrs. Sledge was born on Nov. 4, 1955 in Valley, to the late Lewis Eugene Horne Sr. and Velma Simpson Horne.

She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Valley. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and daughter.

Mrs. Sledge is survived by her husband, Roland Sledge; daughters Leah Sledge, Emily (Ian) Ingram; grandson Lucas Deason; brother Bubba (Delaine) Horne; nieces Cierra and Hannah Horne; father-­in­law and mother­-in­-law Don and Yvonne Sledge.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. EST at the Fairview Baptist Church.  The family will be receiving friends at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. EST until the service hour.
