Dear Editor,

This is in response to Mitchel L. Galishoff, MD and his letter “Research flawed in border wall column.”

The writer does raise valid points about finding out how many immigrants are coming in, and where they are coming in. 

Our research was merely testing a piece of that puzzle. 

As President Donald Trump focused on border fences and local crime rates in the State of the Union Address, we chose to evaluate those same arguments the president was making.
