Mrs. Sadie Rebecca Duncan Chase

LANETT — Mrs. Sadie Rebecca Duncan Chase, 91, of Lanett, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019, at her residence. 

She was born on July 7, 1927, in Rome, Georgia to the late Ernest and Willie Mae Crabtree.

Mrs. Chase is survived by her husband, Herbert Chase; four daughters, Elaine Mashburn, Sheila Price, Darlene (Steve) Bordeaux and Brenda (Danny) Williams; a stepdaughter, Stephanie (Trey) Reese; ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-­great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles H. Duncan;  brother, James “Buddy” Crabtree; sons-in-law Don Price and Bobby Ray Mashburn, and her great-­great grandson, David Ray Ireland.

Mrs. Chase was a member of West Side Baptist Church.  She was a very caring and outgoing person who enjoyed helping others.  She loved her husband, her family, and her friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. EST at the Johnson Brown­-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.  Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
