Joseff Bell, 21, of Lanett has been charged with grand jury indictments for five counts of rape, second degree, three counts of sodomy, second degree, and five counts of traveling to meet a child for sex.

Tyler Wayne Johnson, 23, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree, and bail jumping, second degree.

VALLEY — One person was arrested in Valley on Wednesday. According to Valley Police Department reports,

Pamela Palmer Jones, 51, of Columbus, Ga. has been charged with driving under the influence.

Valley officers are investigating reports of trespassing on the 3400 block of Columbus Road and theft of property, third degree, on the 4000 block of County Road 388.

west point reports

WEST POINT — Two people were arrested in West Point on Wednesday. According to West Point Police Department reports,

Scotty Reed of Lanett has been charged with criminal trespassing and public drunkenness, and

Kerry Hawthorne of Decatur, Ga. has been charged with driving while license suspended.

In incidents being investigated by West Point officers, harassment was reported on West 9th Street and theft by taking reported along the northbound lane of I-85.
