Ashley Hudmon, a graduate of Valley High School, has accepted an invitation for lifetime membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
The society is the nation’s preeminent certified honor society for high-achieving first- and second-year collegiate students, according to a news release from the society.
“NSCS is more than just a symbol of academic achievement_ it is a distinction of honor,” NSCS Stephen E. Loflin said in a news release. “Our scholars are some of the best of the best, committing to academic excellence early in their collegiate journey. They embody the NSCS pillars of scholarship, leadership and service, and man go on to become active contributors within their respective fields.
Loflin said that many of the alumni in the society have been featured on the Forbes “30 under 30 List.”
