WEST POINT — A woman suffered minor injuries after being involved in a log trailer collision in West Point on Wednesday.
The Georgia State Patrol said that at about 4:35 p.m. a woman driving a 2017 Hyundai came off of Adams Road and failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the stop sign. A log trailer traveling westbound on Highway 18 attempted to avoid the woman’s vehicle, but struck the Hyundai.
The accident turned the log trailer on its side, and the Hyundai onto the side of the road. The logs from the trailer rolled across Highway 18.
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the trailer driver was unharmed.
