Ms. Lorene Strickland, 79, of West Point, passed away on June 18 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held on June 25 at 2 p.m. EDT at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lanett, the Rev. Jessie Walker, Pastor/Eulogist, the Rev. Stanley Roberts; officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery in LaFayette.

Strickland is survived by one daughter, Shairl (Tommie) Davidson, of West Point; two sons, Benjamin Strickland of LaFayette, and Walter J. Strickland, of West Point; one sister, Mary P. Holloway of LaFayette; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; a special niece, Rebecca Lee, of Valley; two special friends, Dorothy McClure and Regina Lovely; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
