Mr. Trey Payne, 28, of Lanett, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in Lanett. He was born on Nov 12, 1990, in Opelika.

Trey is survived by his wife Meg Payne; his child Abel Payne; his brother Jeremy (Elizabeth) Payne; his grandmother Linda Shaw; and his aunt Denise (Kevin) Bibb.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Tracy Shaw.

Trey was a loving and devoted husband and father.  He was also a cherished brother, grandson, cousin and nephew. Trey took great pleasure in his family “adventures” and enjoyed finding ways to surprise his wife.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. ET at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Pastor John Samanie will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10 a.m. ET until the service hour at the funeral home.
