Several employees of the Troup County Sheriff’s Department took part in a first responders training this past week.
According to a news release from Troup County, the class is titled Reboot First Responders and it is designed for first responders and their families to find renewed purpose and revived optimism.
The faith-based stress and trauma healing course is designed to address the spiritual and moral toll that critical incidents take on those within the law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency communications, hospital emergency department and corrections communities, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.
“Together, we are seeing families heal, divorce rates drop, substance abuse decrease and suicide numbers reduced,” Troup County Sgt. Stewart Smith said in a news release. “The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is a proud sponsor of the program.”
