Beulah, Springwood and Valley all play at home to kick off season’s second half

Schedules for the regular season begin to cool down tonight for schools around the Greater Valley Area as the second half is officially underway.
With AISA No. 3-ranked Chambers Academy (7-0, 2-0) winning last night and 1A No. 3-ranked Lanett having an open week, there are only four programs in Chambers and Lee County that will be playing tonight.
Beulah (3-2, 1-2) will host Bullock County (2-3, 1-2) after coming off of an open week. The Bobcats hosted Southside for homecoming night on Sept. 20 and fell short with a late comeback effort in a 36-34 loss. Bullock County is coming off of a 24-18 win over Booker T. Washington last Friday night. In 2018, Bullock County defeated Beulah 20-14 to hand the Bobcats their first loss of the season.
LaFayette (2-3, 2-1) begins its regular-season ending road trip tonight at Fayetteville (4-1, 1-1). The Bulldogs are coming off of a 14-6 loss at home to 1A Notasulga. Fayetteville is coming off of a 32-26 win against Francis Marion. In 2018, LaFayette dominated Fayetteville 41-7.
Springwood (2-4, 0-2) return home tonight to host Morgan Academy (2-4, 0-2). The Wildcats are coming off a 50-0 loss to crosstown rival Chambers last week. Morgan is coming off of a 34-24 win over Success Unlimited. In 2018, Morgan defeated Springwood 62-12.
Valley (4-2, 3-0) plays host to region opponent Tallassee (2-2, 1-1) tonight. The Rams are coming off a 48-28 homecoming win over Marbury last Friday night. Tallassee is coming off a 10-6 win over Carroll last week. In 2018, Tallassee shut Valley out 23-0.
