Lanett Superintendent finalists named

LANETT — The three finalists for the Lanett City Schools Superintendent position have been announced and will interview for the job Monday night.
According to the Lanett City School System Attorney Bob Meadows, the finalists are current Lanett Interim Superintendent Jennifer Boyd, Director of Federal Program for Anniston City Schools Marlon Jones and Chambers County Schools Federal Programs Director Alicia Lyles.
Boyd has been the interim superintendent at Lanett since July 1. She took over for 11-year superintendent Phillip Johnson, who announced his retirement in May.
Lyles has been with the Chambers County School System for the past six years.
Jones was the interim superintendent with the Anniston City School System earlier this year until the Anniston Board of Education selected Ray Hill as its new superintendent in June.
The Lanett Board of Education announced this week it will interview the candidates at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at the board’s administration office at 105 N. Lanier Ave.
