Lanett moves up in final ASWA prep poll

A local team has moved up in the final Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) prep poll of the season.
Coming off of a final regular-season bye week, the Lanett Panthers (9-0, 6-0) have moved up from being the 1A No. 3-ranked team to the No. 2 team among 1A programs heading into the first round of the postseason this Friday night.
Lanett ended the regular season winning the final three games of the season by a combined score of 138-0. The Panthers host Keith (6-4, 3-3) this week for round one.
Chambers Academy (9-1, 4-0) remains the No. 5-ranked team in the AISA coming off of a bye week. This week, the Rebels host Jackson (3-6, 1-3).
