The LaGrange Police Department is looking for a Lanett, Alabama man after he allegedly shot a LaGrange man in the chest on Friday.

The incident occurred around 3:27 p.m. on the 300 block of Revis Street. According to a press release from LPD, officers responded to a shots fired call and made contact with the victim at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. He was later transported to a medical facility of out of the city for treatment, according to LPD.

The press release said during LPD’s investigation it was determined that Nay-Chaun Ewing, who is from Lanett, shot the victim once in the chest and fled the scene after an argument.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Ewing. Anyone with information about this incident or the location of Ewing is asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department at (706) 883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at (706) 812-1000.
