Mr. Charles (Joe) Lankford 81, of LaFayette, Alabama died Thursday, May 28, 2020, at the LaFayette Nursing Home.

Joe was born in Chambers County on May 21, 1939, to the late Charles and Irene Lankford, and had served on the LaFayette Police Department for several years.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the graveside at the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Blain Turner officiating.

He is survived by his special caregiver Joann Calloway and Family of LaFayette.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Stevie Lankford.
