Mr. Henry Marlin Johnson, 96 of Lanett, died Saturday July 11, 2020, at the EAMC Lanier Hospital.

Mr. Johnson was born in Chambers County on July 17, 1923, to the late Bernard Johnson and the late Lucille House Johnson.

Mr. Johnson retired from Florida Carpenters, Inc. in Miami.  He was a World War II veteran where he served in the U.S. Navy, he was of the Methodist faith, and was a member of the Vets To Vets Association for several years. He loved to go to flea markets especially Ruth’s Flea Market where he called it the “Club”, he met many friends there.

He is survived by his nieces, Fay Hammock and Diane Dubose; great-nephews Robert (Tina) Hammock of Lanett, Rusty Bruce of Miami.

He lived to see five generations. He loved all animals especially his dog Cindy, he was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
