On Tuesday afternoon, officers with the Lanett Police Department responded to the area of 19^th St SW and 16^th Ave SW in reference to a gunshot victim.

Marco James Evans of LaFayette was the victim of a single gunshot wound to the leg.

Evans received medical treatment by Lanett EMS and was taken by air to Piedmont Columbus for further treatment.

As a result of the investigation, Prentis Malik Williams of Lanett was arrested and charged with robbery 1^st Degree. Williams was processed and taken to the Chambers County Jail.
