Mr. Johnny Tolbert, 67, of Lafayette, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
Public Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, 12:00 p.m. CST at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Lafayette, AL. Pastor Gary L. Dixon, is officiating.
Interment will follow in Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery, Lafayette, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Loretta Tolbert; six children, Shanda Story (Anthony), Jaquetta Tolbert (Garey), and Travis Tolbert all of Lafayette, AL, Mondrecas Tolbert (Keyonda) of West Point, Georgia, Rodney Story (Shetyz) of Huntsville, AL, and Johnathan Carter (Tiffany) of Opelika, AL; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Shandrell White of Auburn, AL; 2 godsons, Trumaine Holloway of Lafayette, AL and Jericko Billingsley of Opelika, AL, one sister, Estella Williams of Lanett, AL; one brother, Frank J. Presley of Lafayette, AL; five sisters-in-law, Charlotte Taylor of Lafayette, AL, Ola Mae Hill of Lanett, AL, Christine Davis of West Point, GA, Hazel and Verneita Blunt of Mobile, AL; six brothers-in-law, Linwood Scott, Wilbert Sims, Charles Scott all of Lafayette, AL, George Blunt of Opelika, AL, Jimmy and Lebron Jackson of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends whom he loved dearly; five special friends who he developed a special friendship with over the years, Gary L Dixon, Tommy “T-Dog” Holloway, Ricky Blakes, Jackie Black, and Ellis Rich.
