On Thursday, March 21, Inspire Academy’s first-period FFA students packed boxes to provide
supplemental food support for families in the LaFayette community over the CCSD Spring Break.
The students worked as a team to identify what kind and how many items to pack for each family
according to each family’s needs based on the number of family members in each group.
In addition, students packed each box to align with nutritional needs and to fit a variety of food options.
In all, eight different families were served a box of nonperishable food donated by the Inspired
2 Serve Food Pantry operated through Inspire Academy. The effort was organized by Inspire
Academy Principal, Mr. Troy Kelley, the leadership at CCBE, and the school counselors.
The mission outreach team was led by Mr. Doug Martin from LaFayette First Baptist Church. Mr. Martin and his team delivered boxes to deserving families in the LaFayette community to assist them with the spring break vacation needs leading up to the Easter Holiday next weekend.
