Lady Skyhawks swept at home

The Lady Skyhawks struggled to put anything together in a doubleheader against Faulkner on Thursday as Point lost 8-0 in the first game and 7-0 in the second game.
Katelyn Jiles got the start on the mound for the Skyhawks in game one on Thursday. Jiles earned the loss as she allowed six hits and five earned runs in 3 2/3 innings of work.
The Skyhawks produced just three hits in game one, with those hits coming from Caylee Quarles, Ansley Joiner and Mary Durham.
Game two was not much different for the Lady Skyhawks as Alyssa Burrows got the start on the mound for Point. Burrows allowed 11 hits and five earned runs in seven innings of work.
The Lady Skyhawks finished with four hits in game two. Quarles and Joiner each had a hit apiece while Tia Coleman added two hits.
The Lady Skyhawks are 3-15 on the season and are in the midst of a four-game losing streak. Up next for Point is a matchup against Tuskegee at home on March 13.
