180 CCSD students attend job fair

On Tuesday, the Chambers County School District hosted its first Career Connect Job Fair at Inspire Academy.
In all, 22 employers attended to conduct interviews, accept applications & collect resumes from students. More than 180 seniors and juniors from across the CCSD participated. The job fair was conducted from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday with students visiting at designated times to ask questions and submit employment applications.
The purpose of the event was to connect employable students from Chambers County Schools with local industry partners. Students were gauged on their interest in either full-time or part-time employment. Employment vendors included the following participants:

- Chambers County 911
- U.S. Navy
- Thalamus
- Knauf
- U.S. Army Reserves
- Hampton Inn & Suites
- John Soules Foods
- Army National Guard
- EAMC – Lanier
- Auburn University Facilities
- Wal-Mart Inc.
- Chambers County Board of Ed.
- Hyundai-Transys
- East Alabama Water District
- Circle of Care
- East Alabama Fire District
- Little Caesar’s Pizza
- West Rock
- Wooshin USA
The Career Connect Job Fair even included work-based learning opportunities for current juniors for their upcoming 2024-25 school year.
