Elizabeth Michelle Lane passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024, at her residence in Valley, Al. She was born on November 23, 1965, in Phenix City, Al. Michelle’s tenacity, spark, and love for life were a bright light for all who crossed paths with her.
Michelle’s life was a testament to the love she had for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Lane and her cherished children, Jacob and Dani Huerta, Hannah Huerta, Jonathan Lane (Kacie) and Kaci Lane. Her loving mother, Yvonne Wright. Her adored grandchildren, Danilee Huerta, Evie Marie Lott, Keeghan Lane, Bristol Lane, Kamry Elder, John Michael Lane, Emma Ward, and Charleigh Colley. She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Wright, Donald Carr, and grandmother, Elizabeth McDonald. Michelle’s legacy of love extends to a host of friends and loved ones who were blessed to know her.
Michelle would light up a room with her contagious smile and compassionate heart. Her sweet soul and vibrant personality were felt by all who knew her. She loved life and was passionate about her students, friends, and family. She was selfless and always the first person to offer any assistance when needed.
Michelle’s role as a loving mother and grandmother was paramount. They were her greatest and most treasured gifts. She cultivated a home filled with warmth and affection. Her love knew no bounds and it is this love that will continue to flourish in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
As we honor her life well lived, we will celebrate her enduring love and unwavering faith. Her legacy will be long-standing, and her memories will be cherished. Her love and laughter will resonate with our hearts forevermore.
Funeral services for Michelle will be held Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. EDT at Langdale Methodist Church with interment following in Oakwood Cemetery. Johnny Huerta and Nicki Freeman will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley from 6:00 P.M. EDT until 8:00 P.M. EDT. We will be having a pink out to celebrate her life. Please feel free to wear pink in honor of her if you would like to join us.
