The first Farmer and the Find event is taking place this Saturday at the River Park in West Point, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET.
The farmers market and flea market combo is a joint effort between Burrow Warehouse and the city of West Point.
The Farmer and the Find will be set up on the first and third Saturday of the month, running from June to August. If the market is popular through the summer, the aim is to do the event in the fall as well, said Kesha Coniglio, Burrow Warehouse owner.
“We only literally had like 20 days to prepare,” Coniglio said. “So we’re kind of pushing it right now…to get even more vendors but more people just coming out in support and locals.”
The market currently has 17 vendors signed up selling everything from goat’s milk soap to tomatoes and cucumbers. There will also be a flea market and antique vendors set up.
Coniglio asks for more vendors to register so they can get a wider variety of both farm and find items. The vendor fee is $10 to cover marketing efforts.
More information for vendors and shoppers can be found on the event’s Facebook page, Farmer and the Find West Point, Ga.
