Priscilla Elaine Thompson, affectionately known as Priscilla, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, in Lanett, Alabama. Born on July 1, 1940, in Manchester, Georgia, Priscilla’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and family devotion. She was a beacon of gentle strength and unwavering support to all who knew her.

Priscilla’s journey began as the cherished daughter of her loving parents in Manchester, where she cultivated a life rich in faith and community. Her spirit of generosity and warmth blossomed as she grew, touching the lives of many. Priscilla’s heart found its match in Themon Thompson, with whom she built a beautiful life until his passing. Together, they were blessed with a large and loving family, including their children Ken Moore (Andrea), Dale Thompson (Susan), Christy Thompson, Kimberly Price (Mike), Scotty Peckham (Danielle), Jessie Thompson, and Mariah Thompson. Priscilla’s legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren Charley, Mek, KC, Kyle, Cameron, Liane, Jacob, Josh, Casyn, Caylee, Carolyne, Lilly, Mia, Brooklyn, Misti, Cassie, Sam, Rachel, Crystal, Chris, Matthew, and Riley, as well as her fifteen great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She was a sister to Ernest Dawley (Linda) and an aunt to a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Though she faced the heartache of losing her beloved husband, son Kirk Moore, grandson Brandyn Johnson, and daughters Angela Peckham and Connie Kelley, Priscilla’s resilience and love never wavered. A dedicated member of Faith Evangelistic Church in Valley, Alabama, Priscilla’s melodious voice uplifted many during services, especially when she sang with her grandchildren.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through every challenge and celebration.

Her interests were a reflection of her love for life and family. Priscilla was deeply family-oriented, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. She had a flair for decorating, creating warm and inviting spaces that welcomed friends and family alike.

Her enjoyment of the outdoors was often shared with those she held dear, as she believed in the beauty and peace that nature offered. As we bid farewell to Priscilla Elaine Thompson, we celebrate a life that was truly well-lived. Her love and lessons will continue to resonate within the hearts of those she touched. Priscilla’s unwavering spirit and the memories she created will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Funeral services for Priscilla will be held on Friday, June 7th, 2024, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley.

Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery. Priscilla’s family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
