The Valley Times-News will officially move into its new office at the Merritt Building in Valley on Monday, June 10.

The building, located at 4002 20th Ave Suite E, Valley, AL, is on 20th Avenue just past exit 79. Once there, the newspaper’s office can be found at the last suite of the building facing 20th Ave.

The VTN’s office number will remain the same as before and can be reached at (334) 644-1101.

In Oct. 2023, the newspaper’s former publisher, Daniel Evans, announced that the building and lots behind it were for sale. Thus, the newspaper would be moving from its current location on North 12th Street in Lanett earlier this year after 30 years.

An upcoming edition of the Valley Living magazine will feature an in-depth history of the newspaper and the building that has stood on the hill behind Cherry Village shopping center for so many years.
