STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LEE AND
SOUTHEASTERN CHAMBERS COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM CDT…
At 531 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Beans Mill, or 7 miles northeast of Opelika. This thunderstorm was
nearly stationary.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Opelika, Valley, Lanett, Lakeview, Cusseta, Beulah, Beans Mill,
Huguley, Fairfax, River View, Lanett Municipal Airport, I 85 Welcome
Center At Lanett, and Mount Jefferson.
