Phillip David Landreth, Sr., a beloved family man and respected community member who passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024, in LaGrange, Georgia, at the age of 75. Born on New Year’s Eve in 1948, Phillip’s life was one of commitment and caring, a journey that began in West Point, Georgia, and carried through every aspect of his actions and relationships.
Phillip is remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving a legacy of cherished memories.
His children, David, Tim and his wife Stacey, Kristie, and Kenny, carry forward his spirit of kindness and strength. His grandchildren, Jonathan, Khristana, Wayne, Jake, Adrienne, Alaina, Shayla, and Dylan, alongside his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lexi, Elli, Eli, Devin, Levi, Kristyn, Jeremiah, Haven, and Lainey, will continue to be guided by his love and wisdom.
In addition to his immediate family, Phillip is survived by his girlfriend, Delores Benefield, of over three decades, who brought joy and companionship into his life. Along with Delores, Phillip formed cherished memories with her children, Tonya and Tony Poole and Amy Benefield, and their families, including Summer, Kate, Taylor, and Tyler. His brother Johnny Landreth, sister Patricia Keller and her husband Mark, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, will miss Phillip’s guiding presence.
Phillip’s work as a crane operator in the construction industry underlines his lifelong commitment to hard work and responsibility. He was a valued member of the Masons and was active in the Standing Rock Community, where he formed deep and lasting associations.
Phillip David Landreth, Sr.’s memory will be treasured and kept alive in the stories, moments, and lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed.
