Thursday night the Lanett Panthers took on the Loachapoka Indians and picked up their first region win 13-0.

“This is a great start to the region,” said Coach McDonald. “Like I told my boys this is a new season we are not 1-1 we are 0-0, because, in reality, the region is what’s going to determine our fate. We got off to a great start tonight. We played with lots of adversity, I think we played well compared to last week, we folded.”

The Panthers ended the first half 6-0 making a touchdown from the five-yard line made by QB Fred Broughton (#19).

Broughton was responsible for the Panther’s other touchdown, this time from the one-yard line to make it 13-0 in the 3rd quarter.

The Panthers are now 2-1 and will host Greenville (2-1) next Friday night.
