Flood advisory issued until 4:45 CDT for Chambers County

A new event in the Hurricane Helene storm announced that a Flood Advisory has been made from Wed, Sept. 25 at 1:38 PM to 4:45 PM CDT for Chambers County, AL. This advisory is in addition to the tropical storm warning from Wednesday 11:19 a.m. until further notice. * WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Chambers and Lee.
* WHEN…Until 445 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 138 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
