A Promise to Help: CCCHWC hosts healthcare accessibility program

On Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CT, residents will have a chance to receive free medical exams and medicine, COVID tests, care packages, book bags, clothes, food, pillows and pillowcases for teens. 

The Black Belt Faith and Medicine Wholeness Initiative is hosting A Promise to Help, a healthcare accessibility program sponsored by the Spirit of Luke Charitable Foundation. The event will be held at the Chambers County Community Health and Wellness Center (CCCHWC) in LaFayette. 

Clinicians specializing in feet, eyes, pediatrics, family and internal medicine will also be at the event, according to the CCCHWC. Nurses and pharmacists from Auburn University will be around as well.

Representatives from the Parkinson’s Foundation will also be present.

The CCCHWC is a partnership between the Auburn Rural Health Outreach Project at Auburn University, the Chambers County Commission and the city of LaFayette. Auburn’s Rural Health Outreach Project sponsors outreach throughout all the counties in the state.
