List of polling places, sample ballot for November 5

November 5 marks the presidential election but for many counties, there are also important local races. With two contested and several uncontested county races on the ballot, registered voters will be reviewing the Chambers County sample ballot and looking for their local polling place.

Two of those races involve the Chambers County Board of Education. BOE superintendent candidates are Winford Ashmore (D)  and Sharon Weldon (R), while BOE District 1 candidates are Frederick “Reco” Newton (D) and Carolyn Danyel Peters (R).

Other local races include LaShae Herring (D), District 3 BOE and Chambers County Commission Districts 1, 2 and 4 respectively, Charlie Williams (D), Douglas Jones (D) and Sam Bradford (R).

Probate Judge Paul Story and Circuit Clerk Lisa Burdette are also running unopposed on the ballot this year. Terrence Brown is running for the Chambers County District Court Judge.

For president and vice president of the United States:

4 Kamala Harris and Tim Walz

4 Donald Trump and JD Vance

4 Jill Stein and Samson Komlan-LeBeau Kpadenou

4 Chase Oliver and Mike Ter Maat

Mike Rogers is running for U.S. Representative, 3rd Congressional District.

Greg Griffin and Sarah Stewart are running for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. For Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Places 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively, Chris McCool, Tommy Bryan, Will Sellers and Jay Mitchell are the candidates.

Christy Edwards, Chad Hanson and Terry A. Moore are the candidates for Court of Civil Appeals places 1, 2 and 3. As for the Court of Criminal Appeals places 1, 2 and 3, Richard Minor, Rich Anderson and Bill Cole are running.

Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh is running for president of the Public Service Commission.

Isaac Whorton and Steve Peeryman are running for places 2 and 3 of the Circuit Court Judge, Fifth Judicial Circuit.

Polling places are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Several churches and community centers around the county have been designated as polling locations. Below is a list of the polling locations in Chambers County:
