Funeral services for Ryan Bozeman, age 14, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Zack Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 7th.
Ryan passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Tanner East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Kim Bozeman of Roanoke; brothers, James Bozeman and John Freeman both of Roanoke; sisters, Emmalyn Bozeman and Janie Freeman both of Roanoke; grandparents, Jimmy and Donna Bozeman of Roanoke and Mike Davis of Valley; aunt, Kim Bozeman of Roanoke; uncle, J.B. (Heather) Davis of Valley; and his special dog and companion, Faith.
Pallbearers will be James Bozeman, John Freeman, J.B. Davis, Will McCutcheon, Dustin Snyder, Taylor Jones, Sanford Watson, and Tim Spears.
Ryan was born in Fort Payne on November 16, 2009. He was a freshman at Handley High School where he was a member of the marching band and played the marimba. He was a kind teenage boy who loved to sleep, eat, play video games, and play with his siblings. He also enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and playing the cowbell from the stands at Handley football games. He loved snacks, especially Hershey bars and Dr. Pepper with coconut. Ryan was known to always have a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Davis.
Memorials may be floral, or the family suggests contributions to go the Handley High School Marching Band.
