UPDATE: The roadways are now clear.

ALEA CITY POST – A single-vehicle crash involving a vehicle towing a trailer loaded with cattle occurred at approximately 12:44 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, and has caused a road closure. Both the north and southbound lanes of U.S. 431 near the 174 mile marker in Chambers County will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while the wrecker crews conduct recovery operations. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
