An active weather period is upon us with a small risk of severe storms this afternoon across our far southwest counties followed by another, more robust area-wide risk for severe storms expected to develop tomorrow afternoon through early Sunday morning as a cold front moves across the state. The risk today looks quite low, but the stronger system tomorrow will produce storms capable of tornadoes, damaging 60 mph wind gusts, and quarter size hail.
Changes from previous forecast: A Marginal risk was introduced for this afternoon in the southwest. There were small adjustments to the risk areas for Saturday/Sunday, and a timing graphic was added.
