Coffee addicts on both sides of the Chattahoochee River are in luck as Starbucks is coming to West Point in the new year.

West Point Mayor Steve Tramell told the Valley Times-News on Friday that everyone’s favorite Seattle-based coffee franchise will be opening a location in 2025. The coffee shop will be located at Exit 6 in West Point next to the TA Travel Center.

The exit is also home to the Georgia KIA plant as well as several other automotive industries such as Hyundai Mobis and Hyundai Transys.

The project is still in its early stages with the ink still drying on the permits, according to Tramell, so a timeline could not be given at this time.

West Point has had the opportunity to announce several other projects around exit 2 in recent years. Back in 2023, it was announced that the city had been gifted the building and land of the former Coca-Cola Bottling Plant off of the exit. Near the end of 2023, West Point also celebrated the grand opening of the Love’s Truck Stop and attached Hardee’s drive-thru.
