Overview: Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely this afternoon through Sunday morning across all of Central Alabama. The threat spans from a 4 out of 5 across our southeastern counties to a 2 out of 5 generally east of I-65. Conditions are favorable for strong tornadoes, damaging winds up to 70 MPH, and large hail up to ping pong ball size.
Changes from previous forecast: A moderate risk (level 4 of 5) was introduced across our southeastern counties. Both the enhanced (3 of 5) and slight (2 of 5) risks were extended further east across Central Alabama.
