Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated—Lambda Zeta Omega Chapter of Lanett, Alabama, cordially invites the public to amend the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration 2025. This esteemed event, commemorating the federal observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lanett, commencing at 10 am EST.
This year’s theme, “Mission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice, and Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence365,” highlights our unwavering dedication to Dr. King’s enduring principles of nonviolence and social justice.
We are privileged to announce Reverend Dr. Melvin Owens as our distinguished guest speaker. Rev. Dr. Owens is the President of the Alabama Baptist State Missionary Baptist Convention,
Vice-President Elect of the National Baptist Convention, USA, and pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in LaFayette, Alabama.
We invite you to join us in honoring the profound legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His mission continues to inspire and direct our efforts in service and community upliftment,
