During today, I have reviewed the information sent out by our Chambers County EMA concerning weather and road conditions. One of our concerns is the freezing of roads tonight that will linger into tomorrow as late as 12 pm. Safe travels are our greatest concern after the snow. We have students and families from 5 different counties that attend with some families living “way out in the country”. Roads are not completely safe, especially for those families that travel and young drivers as well. After tomorrow, I feel that conditions will greatly improve for all of us. Tomorrow, January 23rd, both Chambers Academy K-12 and ELC will be closed.
