Several places around the county will be closing this week in preparation for the cold weather, including the county courthouse and Chambers Academy.

Due to weather predictions for Tuesday, Jan. 21, the Chambers County Courthouse and Lanett Annex will be closed. A decision will be made on Tuesday tomorrow for whether or not to reopen Wednesday. The scheduled Grand Jury is rescheduled to begin Thursday.

Chambers Academy and ELC will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st as well due to extreme weather. The school announced they will review the weather throughout the early part of the week to make decisions after Tuesday.

Chambers County School District will also be closed on Tuesday as well as Wednesday due to weather. Students will learn virtually instead of from class.
