OPELIKA, Ala. — David Allen Daley, 62, of Opelika, Ala., passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center.

David was born October 5, 1955 in Newport News, Va. to the late Elizabeth “Betty” Lucinda Grimes Daley and James Harley Daley.

He had been happily married to his beloved wife, Linda Geraldine Daley, for 40 years. They have one daughter, Jamie (Derek) Miles of Lanett and three beautiful grandchildren, Lexus Nichole Burrows, James “Bubba” Burrows, and Jordan Elizabeth Miles.

Mr. Daley was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and William “Bill” Daley. Surviving brothers include Charles (Gloria) Daley of Spartanburg, S.C., John (Susan) Daley of Pensacola, Fla., and Jimmy (Becky) Daley of Lexington, S.C.

David loved fishing and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He adored his wife, daughter, and grandchildren with all his heart and had numerous beloved family members and friends that meant the world to him.

A memorial to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. EST at Bluffton Funeral Services in Lanett, Ala.
