HUGULEY — Students at Huguley Elementary School have gotten very active in club participation this year.

A total of 25 student clubs have been organized, and a total of 459 students are taking part in them.

There’s a club for almost every interest area, and one day each month has been set aside as a Club Day.

“Education is a top priority for the state and a top priority for me,” she said.

Club meetings take place once a month on a Friday, and the Junior Ambassadors from W.F. Burns Middle School serve as mentors.

Among the current clubs are Music and Movement, Student Care, Lego, Cooking, Dance, Painting, Fun With Books, Crafts, Young Firefighter, Animals, Chorus, Military Appreciation, Robotics/STEM Education, Board Games, 4H, Origami, Sports, Computers and Cheerleading. Each club has a faculty advisor.

School officials are pleased with the enthusiasm the students have shown for taking part in clubs dedicated to activities they are interested in.
