LaFAYETTE — Eight people were arrested in Chambers County over the weekend. According to Chambers County Sheriff’s Office reports,

Janson Ray, 30, of Auburn has been charged with trespassing, third degree;

Sarah Helms, 49, of Auburn has been charged on a grand jury indictment for theft, third degree;

Sharvaski Calloway, 20, of Roanoke has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Cody Glover, 23, of Valley has been charged with promoting prison contraband, first degree, and destruction of state property;

Shontonio Battle, 24, of Sylacauga has been charged with failure to appear in court to answer a charge of driving with a suspended license;

Jeremy Christie, 29, of Lanett has been charged with failure to pay – no insurance;

Candace Heard, 29, of LaFayette has been charged with harassment, and

Marco Biley, 41, of LaFayette has been charged with reckless endangerment.

There were 141 inmates in the Chambers County jail on Monday morning.

LANETT – Eight people were arrested in Lanett over the weekend. According to Lanett Police Department reports,

Jacorious Thomas, 24, of LaGrange has been charged with receiving stolen property, fourth degree, and tampering with physical evidence;

Charles Leverett, 41, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Justin Story, 24, of Lanett has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Lamartrez Story, 22, of LaFayette has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, burglary, third degree, and attempting to commit murder;

Kendra Moreland, 29, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Charles Gore, 42, of Lanett has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, and

Desmond Jackson, 42, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree.

Perry Summers, 58, of Lanett has been charged with DUI;

Charles Wesley Gore, 42, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree;

Jarred Tyler Abney, 18, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Lacey Dann Bowling, 31, of Lanett has been charged with possession of marijuana, second degree;

Austin James Galvin, 22, of Lanett has been charged with theft of property, third degree;

William Henry Fausz, 74, of Valley has been charged with possession of marijuana and trespassing, third degree;

Charles Gomes Leverett, 41, of Valley has been charged with bail jumping, second degree, and

Desmond Noel Jackson, 42, of Valley has been charged with using false identity to obstruct justice.
