CHAMBERS — The Chambers County Democratic Party have opened qualifying for the 2018 election.

Qualifying began Jan. 12 for the following positions: Sheriff, Probate Judge, Commissioner for Districts 3,5 and 6, School Board Districts 1 and 3 and Coroner.

Those interested can qualify at the office of William L. Smith, attorney at law, 308 N. Lanier Ave., Lanett, Ala.

Qualifying is held Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST until Feb. 9.
