WINSTON, Ga. — Mrs. Linda Carol Holmes Martin, 68, of Winston, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019. She was born in Chambers County on Nov. 14, 1950, the daughter of the late Wilbur Howard Holmes and the late Ruby Catherine Cline Holmes. She worked for 30 years as an inventory control specialist for Riverside Manufacturing. She was a Baptist by faith.

Linda loved to crochet — but, spending time with her grandkids was her favorite thing in the world.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Martin and her brother­-in­-law, Paul Timothy Martin.

Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Billy Lynwood Martin of Winston; children Billy Martin, Jr. and his wife Brandy, Todd Martin and his wife, Wendy, all of Winston, and Marla Morris of Birmingham; grandchildren Allie Martin, Jesse Martin, James Martin, Hunter Morris and Heidi Morris; brother Larry Holmes of Valley; sister­-in­-law Brenda Jo Frawley; brother-­in­-law Thomas Lanier Martin, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel in Douglasville, Georgia, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
