Mrs. Judy Watkins, 89, of LaFayette, died on June 6 at East Alabama Medical Center.

She was born in Florida April 7, 1930, to the late Clovis Almond Boddy and the late Capitola Bernice Duke. She was a member of the Opelika-Auburn Seventh Day Adventist Church, she and her husband operated the Bo And Judy’s Grocery and Gas Store in LaFayette for many years.

She is survived by her five children Carolyn Rentz of Stockbridge, Ga.; Jackie Adamson of Ridge Grove, Debbie Cummings of Opelika, Sheree Orr, of Camp Hill, Jay Watkins, of LaFayette; one sister Linda Robinson of Camp Hill; one brother Bill Boddy, of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Julian (Bo) Watkins, Brother Wallace Boddy and Sister Wanda Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on June 9 at 3 p.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home with burial to follow at the LaFayette City Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Hamer and the Rev. Kulakov officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service.
