UNION HILL —  Joe L. Blanks has announced his candidacy for the District 3 seat on the Chambers County Commission. He is seeking a third term.

Blanks resides in the Union Hill community in northwest Chambers County.

He is married to Emma Aikens Blanks. They have one daughter, Jerri Ison (Jerome) and two granddaughters, LeAnna Ison Gillenwaters (Joey) and Lindsey Ison. Joe is a member of the Abanda Methodist Church.

He retired as the owner/operator of J and J Logging Company.

“I am seeking another term for Commissioner because I truly want to continue serving the people of District 3 as well as the entire county,” he said.

“My family stands with me and supports me in this endeavor. I have lots of time and energy to devote to this office. I hope to meet every voter in District 3. I will sincerely appreciate your vote and support.”
